How many people think the Flyers didn't solve all their problems? |
Obviously they don't understand the situation...from the end of last year to now flyers have completely rebuilt their team... people are sayin briere doesnt bring a team back by himself...well maybe he doesnt but maybe Briere, Timonen, Hartnell, Smith, Lupul ...(and now for the end of last year)... Biron, Upshall, Coburn, Kukkonen, and Parent do this team is rebuilt! I think the flyers are going to be contenders next season. They are a total different team from last season and their latest additions will make a difference in offense which lacked immensly. Biron was a steal and will shine this upcoming season. well timonen and smith wont solve there defesive problems but offensevly they will do fine but i honestly think they should of signed some big name d-men like hannan and rafalski instead of signing offensive players like hartnall and briere. flyers suck!! they never will win the cup I think they are looking good. Just because the flyers sucked *** last season as a team does not mean each individual sucked. Bottom line they definately upgraded and the players that stayed will play more up to their potential with this new influx of talent. It's funny because even considering their season last year, it wasn't all horribel atrociousness. From going to contenders for years and years in a row to last in the NHL is bad, don't get me wrong. But a lot of the games were actually pretty close. I think with a lot of the players added now(Briere and Smith to name a few forwards) they will be able to close those close games. Biron will give them a little stability in net too. These guys are totally revamped and I think they will smash next year. They picked up a lot of good players and did well in the draft. One not however, I don't think they kept Pitkanen long enough...that kid had talent and they dumped him way too early. Granted they got Lupul and Smith but still. point being...Flyers are going to be back in business next year like nothing was ever any different They're on the right track, but I would hardly say they're 'rebuilt'. When you turn over 50% of a roster the team will need some time to develop its chemistry and identity. The Flyers will be in the middle of the division and might challenge the Pens and Rangers, but no one should be ordering any rings in Philly yet. |
