Will the recent signing of Paul Kariya help the Blues? |
Or do you think his skill level will drop because of it? The Blues will definitely benefit from the signing of Kariya. Kariya has been and still is one of the best all-around forwards in the league. He's only 32 right now so he still has a few years left as a top-tier player. The Blues are still rebuilding, but have a lot of young talent. I expect they will make the playoffs again after a two year absence, but probably don't have enough (yet) to make it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Kariya is probably the most significant "playmaker" signing for the Blues since Pierre Turgeon. I expect he'll maintain his point-per-game average. i think it will help. you saw what he did with nashville... Hes still a decent player. I'd love to have him on my team. Paul Kariya is a player that just makes whatever team hes on better. Doesnt matter where. He finds a way to contribute in leaps and bounds. Whether or not it will be enought to give the Blues a playoff run, Im not really sure. But yes, signing Paul Kariya will most definatly help out the Blues in 07-08. he will help them but they probably wont make the playoffs He'll be good, but the depth of the blues isn't enough to take them far. They might make the playoffs, but their defense and goal tending needs to get a lot better. And they need to keep everyone healthy. Paul is only as good as who you put out to play with him. It is possible he and Tkachuk will work together and do well. I just wouldn't expect that Kariya is going to be some kind of saviour because he isn't. |
