Who are the two goalies on the Colorado Avalanche? Which one is the best? Which one should be traded??? Budaj was 31-16-6 with a 2.68 GAA and .905 saves percentage. Theodore didn't do so well at 13-15-1 with 3.26 and .891 so I would agree with most of the people on here and trade Theodore. The flip side of that is who do you try to get? Do Avs fans believe that Budaj is a play-off goaltender? Before you rush and say of course, remember the guy only has 91 games of NHL experience at this point and no play-off games at all under his belt. If I were trading, I would be looking for a veteran goalie with play-off experience who doesn't mind backing up Budaj during the regular season. And of course, someone who has played better than Theodore has recently. Source(s): My humble opinion. theodore and budaj. i would trade theodore Budaj and Theodore. I give the slight nod to Theodore, because he at least showed flashes of greatness when with Montreal. I would trade neither, because neither of them should be a full-time starter. Keep them platooning with each other and Colorado will get more out of them, and keep each better rested and happy, since each is getting ice time. I think Theodore should go, he's way to expensive and simply did not deliver this season, Budaj is awsome. He's a young guy so I admit he has some maturing to do, but he's goin to be one of the best in the NHL in no time. But I guess I should say that I'm kinda biased on this issue, because I'm from Slovakia ;) the 2 goalies are budaj and theodore we also have kolesnik waiting in the wings, theodore is overpaid underachieving goaltender and has been ursurped by budaj for the starting job. budaj has a buffed out ned flanders on the back of his helmet because he is a christian Theodore has been one of the worst goalies in the league over the last couple of years. Budaj looked OK at times last year. Theodore is probably unable to be traded due to his poor play and salary (although Colorado made the mistake) even if Colorado ate salary, I am not sure anyone would want him. That said, he is a former MVP and maybe can get it back together. |
