Jason Blake To leafs any reactions?

Yes, as we all know, The leafs organization signed Free Agent Jason Blake, i am a big leafs fan so i am happy that this happend, but what are your reactions?

he seemed to kill us when he was playing against us. Now he will give us some more speed that the Leafs need to keep up with that other team in Ontario that I will not name. We are still a ways to go before we are a team that compete for the cup, but the playoffs at least look good and maybe we will send that team home 5 out of 5 teams we've played them in the playoffs.

I think it was a great move.Jason Blake is a solid heads up player.I think the Leafs need more, but its a start
Something will set us back. Whether Ferguson or the Ontario Teachers Pension will pull some dumb-as$ move, or the injury bug, something will break the hype of Blake.

good signing for the leafs. i don't think Blake can repeat his 40 again, but he should be a good 30-35 goal scorer, esp playing with Sundin.

the question is can he maintain good relations in the locker room?
yeh good deal, hes a good goal scorer(if not great) and will complement the good centers the leafs have already like wellwood and steen and of course sundin. it will be interesting to see if he gets played on left wing or if they just use him as another centre, id love to see him on a left wing with sundin and maybe o neill, just for kicks. also toskala was a good get, maybe the leafs have solved their goalie problems. cya mate
I think this isn't a bad thing. I am concerned we overpaid for a guy who's over 30 and just came off a career year. I'm not sure Leaf fans should expect the same kind of numbers from Blake this year as he put up last year, but he also has a physical edge to his style of play which I see a a plus. Maybe he and Mats will work well together and then again maybe the Leafs would have been better off to miss the playoffs this year again to have a shot at landing the first pick and getting Tavares.
