Why do race horses wear face mask type things when racing? |
Why do race horses wear face mask type things when racing? so that anything thrown up by the horse in front doesnt cut their faces and blinkers to stop them seeing anything at the side of them so they only see forward I think that you are referring to blinkers. They are worn to restrict the horses side view and thus keep it more focused. from what someone told me its to keep the horse's eyes looking forward i dont no They are called blinkers,It is so the horse cannot see what is going on around it,Just able to see straight ahead. It's probably so they don't get a lot of dust in their snouts. I can't imagine what else it would be for. probably because they are going so fast and bugs will fly into their eyes... |
