Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (FR)
Breeders' Cup Classic (USA)
Breeders' Cup Turf (USA)
Champion Stakes (GB)

Look up any one of these races and the list of winners reads like a "who's who" of racing.
This depends on whether you are referring to Flat racing or National Hunt racing.

Flat racing:

Triple Crowns.

Although some of the races are not as prestigious as others the triple crowns are worth more at breeding than any other groups of races.

1)English Triple Crown

2000 Guineas 1 mile
Derby 1 mile 4 furlongs
St. Leger 1 mile 6 furlongs

2)American Triple Crown

Kentucky Derby 1 mile 2 furlongs
Preakness Stakes 1 mile 2 furlongs
Belmont Stakes 1 mile 4 furlongs

The American Triple Crown carries more prize money but the English Triple Crown is more prestigious and worth more at stud due to the fact that it is more difficult for a horse to win between 1 mile and 1 mile 6 furlongs as a 3 year old than it is to win between 1 mile 2 furlongs and 1 mile 4 furlongs.
Plus the fact that it includes the Derby, where the course is known around the world as notoriously difficult with hills and divits and bends. Which is why it is the most sought after Flat Race.

Both Triple Crowns are notoriously difficult to win and that is why they rate as the most prestigious groups of flat races in the world.

I would also add to these races, which are for Thoroughbreds, the Hambletonian, which is for trotters.

These are all awesome races.
