Who will place in the Coral Eclipse? |
The bookies here in Trinidad offer place only at 1/6 the sp price. George Washington will be 1.75 Notnowcato 1.83 Admiralofthefleet 2.66 With 8 horses starting and 3 places available what would be the safest place bet? I think I'd go with Notnowcato, who seems to be a decent, if not outstanding, horse in top company. As I understand it, the ground at Sandown is now really soft, which does not play to the strengths of George Washington and Authorized. With this race having a lot of unknowns to it-- did "Gorgeous George" benefit enough from his last start to move up in this one? How will Authorized do in his first start against older horses? How does soft or heavy going affect the way the race will play out?-- I sure wouldn't bet the rent money on this one, just a little bit to make it interesting, and I'd put it on Notnowcato. |
