What are coon hides worth?
When I was in high school 20 years ago a buddy and I used to coon hunt and we could get $30 a hide. We made $700 a week sometimes, not bad money for a high schooler. What are they worth today? May buy a couple of coon dogs if it's worth it. Please, if you are anti hunting, don't answer. Don't care what you think!
At first, I'd have thought 'douglas b' was a DUMB*A*S*S Yankee, but then I read farther and realized he was a DUMB*A*S*S Limey, instead!
Hey, Limey! A COON (AS IN "RACCOON) is a large nocturnal furry animal (at least the four-legged ones are)!
As to price, call your local PETA A*S*S quarters; you may not get an answer, but at least you'd pisse the bunny-huggin' MORONS OFF! Source(s): +++++
How on earth did you get away with posting that racist filth.
I can only assume the word coon means something very different in the UK to the US.
I'm thinking maybe $10-15, for just the hide. Maybe if you made them into hats or mounted the whole raccoon you could get some more money for them. And douglas b, i dunno where u live, but raccoons are frequently called coons throughout the US, dont be so uptight.
With the market on furs now prices for Raccoon is $3.00 to $14.00 depending on grade.
But that depends on where you live also, another site states $9.73 average with a low of $6.50 and high at $28.00.

Hunting and Reloading for more years then I wish to count, and still going.
We're getting about 12.50-15.00 avg. We sell exclusively to NAFA and I suggest if you start you should send the pelts to the auctions there. Google NAFA fur auctions for more info. Peeps around the world go to Canada to buy all sorts of pelts.
