How to you de-bone a Squirrel? |
I want to make soup out of Squirrel and I can't with the bones! Why would you want to make a squirrel soup? I find the best way to get meat off of any bones is to boil the meat for quite a while and then pick it off the bones....I have a pan in which a metal colander sits, I usually put whole chickens in the colander and then when I'm ready to take the meat off the bones, I can lift the colander out, but the broth can be left behind to flavor the soup. with a knife Run over it one more time and the bones won't make any matter You know, once I boned a chicken , and then I boned a Salmon, it created an ugly love triangle.... Angela d has it right. Boil it until it is falling of the bone then debone it. I like to use a pressure cooker on squirrels to cook the and then debone. Then make your Squirrel and dumplings or squirrel stew. Hope this helped D58 Hunting and Reloading for more years then I wish to count, and still going. really the only meat u will get that's worth harvesting is the rear legs .. coon is the same really...leave the bone on wether u fri or make soup..that's the way i do it..or..debone it after its pressure cooked or boiled..it will be easier |
