Has the SKS been banned? |
I heard from our local gunshop, that NATO has banned the importation of the SKS rifle. Is that true, and if the did, why? No it hasn't been. However there is a proposal in the House HR1022 to do that and a bunch of others.. http://www.nraila.org/legislation/federa... I just had a dealer get me another SKS, from Centerfire Systems. Got a VERY NICE shooter grade for $119.00. Buy em cheap, bury em deep. BTW if you own one, Gooberment cannot take it from you. They attempt and hell will pop open as several million of us will restore the bill of rights to it's true original intent. yeah its banned ???? Nato is a military treaty organization that has no control over arms imports. Sks's are still found at nearly every gun shop & show i've been to. Now, like all surplus arms, the supply may be going dry. The Swede Mauser m38 I Bought for $126 10 years ago, is geting hard to find today. They don't make them any more. Same with the SKS. Keep in mind the SKS was a hold over gun till the AK's came around. Most users ( China, Russia, North Korea, etc.) traded up to the better gun. NOW it is true many places like NJ, MA, CA have bans on it and other semi auto guns of it's class. I suggest you contact the big importers like Century arms to see what the deal is. wait! the SKS is banned!? uh oh. what are the people that have them going to do? Is it just banned from being imported, or are they illegal to own now? I don't have a source but that could be bad for my sister. she owns two. maybe in communist California but not a real state no, man, nato doesn't have the power to do that and that isn't there thing anyway. bill in house now, hr 1022?, calling for all kinds of dumbass crap, like bans. |
