Contrary to popular belief, they DO penetrate drywall. They're horrendously expensive, so unless you're very rich, you'll not be able to afford enough ammo to do adequate reliability testing in your firearm. And they don't shoot to the same point of aim as the heavier lead rounds. And as stoppers, they are no more effective--and possibly less effective--than a well-engineered modern hollowpoint bullet. About the only thing frangible bullets (like the Glaser Safety Slug) excel at is shredding soft body armor. IF u pull it use it! Close range try Eagle Black Talon good but hard to find.There are rounds that have shot balls in them,scattershot. A BULLDOG 44 is best. Federal Hydra Shok's are good rounds. What make and model do you have first of all because, none shoot the same. On paper I use 155gr (NO ALUMINUM SHELLS) and my defense/work load is of the same weight..155gr but it's the Federal Premium Hydra-shok. |
