Ok..So anyone who knows about SASHA COHEN and people who know a lot about SASHA COHEN answere this!? |
Well i absolutely love figure skating and i was wondering if anyone knows how Sasha Cohen heard about figure skating? Did she see someone skate then realize she wanted to pursue in a figure skating career? Why did she choose this sport? I mean how did she say as a child " i want to be a figure skater " ? How old was she when she first started? Is figure skating in her family history? I would really appreciate some informative answeres and opinions about Sasha, i love her skating and i think she is one of the best skaters in the history of skating!!! Her mother had a ballet background in the Ukraine and always wanted to figure skate, but never had the opportunity. When Sasha was four, she was enrolled in dance and gymnastics. Around the age of seven, it became apparent that she wasn't going to be a champion gymnast due to an injury. Her mother took her skating one day and Sasha loved it. She begged for group lessons, which started soon afterward. She was in lower level groups than other girls her age, because they had already been skating for some time. Around the age of ten, she made up her mind that she was going to be a great skater and her coach saw the potential. Kristi Yamaguchi was one of her idols. The Cohen family began pursuing that "great skater" goal aggressively through more skating and private coaching. If you really love her, take out a copy of her autobiography from the Library. It's called "Fire on Ice" and she explains her beginnings in the first chapter. Enjoy! Figure Skater Olympic figure skaters are usually raised as such, from a very young age... They do the same for Sumo wrestlers. Her parents put her through it, much like parents will put their daughter through ballet. I did a Power Point on her before summer and got an a+. Gynastics(she progressed to level 5)was her thing but when she was injured at an early age, her mom, switched her talent young daughter to figure skating. 2nd question: no 3rd question: She didn't. she was injured and her mom didn't want anymore injuries like that anymore so she swithed Sasha into figure skating. 4th: she didnt say anything like that 5th:7years old 6th: no Sasha COhen is the BEST figure skater evr in history and is trained toward jumping intoo and landing a quad-quad jump in the 2010 winter olympics held in Vancouver Canada. her quad combo is quadruple lutz- quadruple toe loop Hoped I helped -Jessy email me if you need more help!
