Did Kwan stop skating competitively? |
Is michelle done skating for good? (i mean besides stars on ice) i dont think we have seen the last of michelle kwan. even though she is venturing outside of the world of figure skating, i think we will see her back on the ice as soon as she has recovered completely from her surgery. right now, i heard that she was trying to finish college and then start competing next season. yes, i'm pretty sure. they keep saying she'll try another olympics to get that gold, but i think she's done with her competitive career. I believe so, because at salt lake where she got silver, she was interviewed she said only one more olympics after this and thats 06 well she didnt make it to torino so yeah i think shes done. Unless she decides to jump in for '2010 but i doubt it. yeah i'd think so, shes sorta gettting up there in age, which can hold her back a little back. She was an amazing skater but skating careers usally vanish when you get a little older. For now, perhaps . . . she is apparently busy with college and working as an American Public Diplomacy Envoy. Nearly a year ago she had hip surgery too! Perhaps she has not made a final decision just yet or has not made it public . . . in any case - I do hope she will come back to skate - competitively or not. I predict she'll skate at the champions on ice or smuckers on ice for a couple of years, maybe attend a couple of charity events and/or exhibitions since she dropped out of the olympics, it has been going around that she has retired, now that she hasn't attend two nationals in a row. that doesn't mean she can't have a comeback, its that it seems unlikely. I really don't know. I am thinking that she may be done with some of her real competitive career, but I'm sure she will still skate in maybe some smaller events. I know that it would be hard for her to come back with many of the rules and judging system changes, but honestly I hope that she does come back. |
