Is there any way to change the color of my skate without using SK8 tape? |
I have a pair of white Jackson Elites but I have always wanted beige boots. I don't like SK8 Tape because it is easy to tell if a boot has been taped because it looks so shiny and plastic-y. Also it leaves marks on the boot that are super hard to get off. Is there another way I can do it? Reidell boot polish http://www.jenskates.com/index.asp?pagea... If not polish, there's always the tight over the boots look . . . that's what I always did . . . I liked the thought of lengthening my legs, but was too lazy do anything with my beat up white skates - hee hee!!! Hope that helps!! Maybe some sort of paint? I'm not sure as to which kind.. But if you do try to paint it, don't do a halfass job and it will obviously be permanent.. Which kind of sucks if you don't like the beige anymore. Some research on this might help, as to which kind. Acryllic, oil based, just to name a few. Hope that helps. When I got my boots to the skateshop maintainence, they painted my boots among other things. So I assume if you want to change the colour of your skates, painting them is an option. Ask the skateshop, they might be able to help! Try colored boot polish. You can buy it at your local pro shop. Figure Skater buy another pair that are beige? if you have the money and time to break them in... skate polish or maybe boot covers.. xoxox |
