All figure/ice skaters out there!!?

what would be a nice blade scrunchy, like those little cloth things that scrunch on the blade to keep the blades from scratching the boots, what would be a good design or print, what do they have out there?!

The print and design taste all depends on you!! What's most important is that you have TERRY cloth soakers to take care of the moisture on your blades. I've had plain cloth ones from a club "gift" - and they weren't particular good - stayed wet and made my blades rust! And that you get ones that fit your blades the best.

There are tons of designs out there . . . here are some to look at.

Honestly, it's not something you'll buy a bunch of . . . one can last you a long time until it starts getting holes from the blade.

So see what best suits your personality!!

Have fun picking one out!!
There are the puffy blade soakers, and the terry cloth ones. Here are a few links of some that they have out there, there are so many different types.

You use the soakers to actually soak up the water after you are on the ice, so that your blades don't rust- I've found that most of my scratches on my boots actually happen on the ice. I use the puffy soakers with a terry soaker inside for extra absorption and to try to make my soakers last as long as possible (they get holes in them fairly easily) Good luck!

Soakers are useful for preventing scratches, but their best purpose is in soaking up the moisture leftover on your blade after you dry them. This keeps rust away.

There are many different soakers available. You can even make your own using a hand towel folded up a few times with the ends tied off.

There are plush one that look like animal fur, or ones with little stuffed animal heads and tails. There are tie-dyed, bright colors, dark colors, even basic black! Some have cartoon characters, and even some that look like a chenille sweater! There are new ones with mesh on the bottom that lets you walk around in the skates/soakers.

The most important thing to remember is that you want the soakers to be absorbent. Buy soakers that have the insides made of cotton terrycloth.
