Graf or riedell? PLEASE HELP!!!!?

i've had some negative feedback from my graf skates question, so i'm asking for some more help...
i'm a skater jumping the doubles etc and i'm looking for new skates to replace my risports. has any one got any suggestions on what to go for? at the moment i'm most interested in graf and riedell. which makes or riedell would you recommend and does anyone have any thing to say about them??

thankyou xoxox

The problem is that your going from Risports to another brand.. The Risports where heat mold-able.. and a good portion of them where heat mold-able.. I'm guessing that's why you had/tried them..

Your thoughts of switching into the Graf is a good one.. minus the problems they've had recently... As Far as going with Riedell.. hmm.. I'd say that you want to be care full of the heel high and the weight of the boot.. It's a different breed from the Risports..

I would recommend the Jackson company.. They have a heat mold-able design that will resemble.. ** I say it loosely ** the Risport sensations.. The synthetic materials give the boot a different feel then what you would find in Harlick, SP Terri, or KlingBiel.. ** Hope I spelled that right **

Allot the old timers gone coach might prefer the feel of the new materials because they are easier on the feet.. ALLOT easier on the feet.. but as for performance purposes.. the old time skater usually wants the bondage in real leather feel.. gives them a connection to the ice and the equipment that you can't get with the new stuff.. Although it can be quite in human trying to break them in.. ** the newer boots that are designed to resemble the old style production.. will have subtle changes for the better.. 15 years ago.. breaking in a pair of skates was nothing like it is now.. anywhooo..

Your coming from Risports.. new materials.. heat mold-ability.. considering the heel height.. and considering the height of the boot on the leg.. I think you aught to try on the Jackson Line of skates..

Side Notes:
If you put on a pair of boots and everything seems to be great! and you have a little help from a professional saying you'll be okay in that boot.. I don't care if Donald Duck made em.. Really consider that boot..

I'm partial to the Jackson line of skates.. I think their quality control is better.. and their blades are laser cut and are much easier to work with when there is a problem..

Jackson NEEDs to bring back their hinged design and quick!! ** With design changes and the demand for them.. they paused ordering for ??two?? months.. but I think they are back to taking orders..**

What does your coach say about the boots you should be in? have you talked to the local skating guru about this? Any skating events coming up where the boot manufacturer might make an appearance.. ** get a look at what's out there and try on a few different ones.. **

Don't be afraid to try the Paramount blades if you need new ones..

And now I'm bored with this 8- ) Bye..

Good Luck!!! Love those new skates!!
hmm ive never heard of graf. i would go with riedell everyone i know who has them loves them and says they work really well. i have jacksons - theyr really good but they break down pretty fast. i would go with riedell. good luck =]

鈾?
I have had a great experience with my Riedell skates. Harlick is also been a good brand, but I think that you said that you had wide feet so Harlick skates probably aren't the best. I would suggest the Riedell Gold Stars http://www.riedellskates.com/ice/375.htm... or the Riedell Elite Royal 900 http://www.riedellskates.com/ice/900.htm... both skates are good and would be good for the skater who is landing double jumps. The majority of the figure skaters at my rink prefer Riedell skates or Harlick skates, and most of them will not buy anything else. I have had the best experience so far with my Riedell skates compared to any other brand so I would highly recommend them! I would also talk to your coach and get their opinion of what skates would be best for you. Good luck!
Figure Skater
Unless you're very light, I would suggest Riedell Gold Star boots. They're pretty heavy-duty without being concrete-like and they're readily available through dealers.

I don't think the Elite Royal or 1500 would break in easily for a skater of your level. They're a bit too stiff.

For about $50 more, you could get custom boots made.
I wore Riedell Gold Stars for awhile for two years they were great and then I started getting these HUGE callouses so I got new skates
Actually, I find Harlicks the best for your level. I'm about the same level (maybe higher) and find them comfortable and long lasting. I never had Graf or Riedell skates but I've heard pretty decent feedback about Grafs.
