What should the IRL do to get more team owners involved with the sport? |
I know we have asked about how to get more sponsers into the sport, but how about team owners? Take a team like Penske the run both NASCAR and IRL....What about NASCAR owners adding IRL teams? I think the answer to your question is we need to get CART and the IRL to come to an agreement to run together again. If that would happen you would have the larger field at the tracks. But one thing we all need to remember is the open wheeled cars are pretty dangerous if they touch wheels so I don't really know what the safe number is. Maybe 33 is good on a track like Indy but when you go to a mile or less track maybe the safe number is 21. I don't know but I am sure they have some sort of formula for open wheeled cars per size of track. It is not what the IRL can do, it is what NASCAR is doing, MONEY. The money is there with NASCAR. I just wish that we had some women racing in the cup series. That would be a great boost for NASCAR. Tony George should hire someone to run IRL.JUST GO AWAY,TONY. They need to make it easier for teams to compete (i.e. equal racecars) and make the costs to race down to a level never seen before in racing. |
