Is Robbie Keanes Spurs career in jepordy with the signing of Bent or is it a replacement for Berbatov? that's what i also wondered. could the signing of bent meant berba is being sold? surely, another striker in the spurs forward department meant someone has to go. i dont think so. keane's the fans favourite and the heart of Spurs. so, he's not going anywhere. i think Jol want to sign Bent because he wants to release Mido or as a replacement for Berbatov if Berbatov really goes to Man Utd. Personally if Bent goes to Spurs it will will certainly mean the end to Mido's White Hart Lane Career and if one of the others go it will be Jermain Defoe that goes. More on the always substitue Jermaine Defoe rather than Keane, Keane scored more goals than Defoe, therefore he shouldn't be worried about his future there, Berbatov will not be sold to other clubs as he is too good to leave. No Robbies career at SPUDS is not in jeapordy with the signing of Bent. He is the ideal replacement for Berbatov as he has just signed for Arsenal for 拢10 Million. Berbatov stated that Champions League Football was his desire for next season & not in thr UEFA cup or fighting relegation. the spuds have always been a selling club so dont be surpised if he goes to a BIGGER club, but then again that quite a lot of clubs! Robbie Keane has shone brightly throughout his playing years, more significantly during last season. Remeber how he unleased his nifty footwork on a helpless Boulahrouz? Remember his spectecular volleys against established UEFA cup sides? Robbie Keane is indeed an all-rounded striker. On the contrary, I believe that Berbatov is extremely over-rated. Considering that he scored the same number of Premiership goals as Dirk Kuyt (also on his first year in England), I simply do not understand why he is so over-hyped! Indeed, he is capable of performing brilliantly, especially as a lone striker, but he does not deliver what a striker must, goals! Therefore i believe that he is a replacement for berbatov and not Keane. However, I believe that Tottenham may not even get Bent. Remember how tottenham used to be linked with every single star player, but fail to buy them. Tottenham have been spending too much money on relatively average players, for example, Didier Zokora. The only bright spot is their investment in Hossam Ghaly, who has got himself into hot soup. Therefore, i conclude that tottenham players are simply over-rated and that Bent would never go there. |
