Must all foreigner playing in the english premiership play for their country first? No. European players are free to play wherever they wish within Europe. However, overseas players who come from ourside the EU area must get a work permit. To do this they must demonstrate they have abilities which go beyond that available in the European work pool. Usually the number of full international appearances the player has made for their country is used to assess this so yes, almost without exception, non-European players playing in the Premiership must have played for their country first... it would limit the amount of foreighn players we could have, so yeah no trust me i know some of them and i know what goes on! its not as easy and a lot come here illegally and throw their money at the pms and get away with it! International games show the ineptitude of EPL clubs. Because the minute National Football Associations complain to FIFA about clubs not releasing national players to national clubs, the English will back out with their tails firmly tucked between their legs. The answer to your question is YES if they are called by their national team. Now if they don't want to play or their club refuses to release them, they should be prepared to face sweet chin music. No. Play for their country FIRST? No. Must an Englishman play for his country first? No. |
