Q. what was it about Johan Cruyff's Holland football kit that was different from his team mates ??? Answer will be given on best answer . The rest of the Holland team used to wear the 3-stripe Adidas jersey. But Cruyff used to wear a 2-stripe one instead of 3 as he had a separate sponsorship deal with Puma. This was referred to as his 'aloofness' by his teammates and KNVB, the footballing organisation of The Netherlands. Cruyff was also the first Dutch international player to receive a red card. dunno, it was a different colour? The only thing I can think of is that he used to want to wear the number 14 shirt in the good old days of 1-11 numbered shirts and when he played for Holland he also asked for a number 14 shirt which was unusual at the time. Oh actually I heard something about him wearing only 2 stripes as he pulled one of the addidas stripes off the sleeves but I never knew if that was true? It had Cruyff and a number 10 on the back? Accusations of Cruijff's 'aloofness' were not rebuffed by his habit of wearing a shirt with only two black stripes along the sleeves, as opposed to Adidas' usual design feature of three, worn by all the other Dutch players. Cruijff, however, had a separate sponsorship deal with Puma. Cheers :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/johan_cruyf... he wore only two lines on his shirt coz he's sponership deal was with puma and the club was sponered by adidas. # hope i am right my little boy would be well impressed if i've retained some of the footy knowlege that he's been giving me since he learned to talk. |
