Manchester United and Chelsea? |
I know both are rivals but they seem to get along more than with Liverpool and Arsenal why.Just look at their managers I think the main reason is that there is a healthy respect between not only the sides, but between the managers...Mourinho likes to stoke fires and build up rivalries, and he's thrown verbal jabs at Sir Alex, who tosses them back at him...the sides play tight games, usually fairly clean, and most of the last few have been very competitive. As a Chelsea fan, I know I don't like Liverpool for a number of reasons, not least of which is the continual failures in the Champions League against them (one of which some still contest, included a goal that wasn't)...it's frustrating, because you know on paper the Blues have been better, but they get drug into these awful defensive standoffs with them and voila, game/set/match (and yes, Reds fans, Rafa would play a 9-0-1 formation if he thought it would work)...I also don't like the Reds from the standpoint of cockiness...when you lose to them, you're not likely to hear the end of it till you're on your deathbed. As for Arsenal, aside from the geographic proximity which lends itself to some major hatred, the managers don't truly like each other, as witnessed by Mourinho's "voyeur" comment in 2006, which had Wenger contemplating legal action...Arsenal too, has ruled the roost for a while, and being usurped by a city rival doesn't go down well. I LOVE CHELSEA!!!! GO CHELSEA!! I have no idea but GO MANCHESTOR! i have no idea... but manchester united is one of the best teams there is lol are you sure? liverpool and man utd are more rivels than aarsenal and liverpool. chelea liverpool hate each other now. top 4 hate each other. The English game is all about History and Chelsea havent had one for 50yrs. Liverpool have won more Champs Leagues and Man U with 9 -10 premerships have built up a foundation, Chelsea are still new boys, Give it 3-4 more years winning then they will be universally hated by All. both SAF and Wenger have been on each other's case since God knows when. but then, they both mellowed a bit (after the Pizza incident) and lay off each other's back for a little. then, along came mourinho, fresh after guiding Porto to the CL title and still has a bragging rights over MU. then, he was on everybody's nerve with his never ending claim of being the "special one". then, of course his continuity of poking at MU for having 10x more budget than his Porto. after that, Benitez came, and spoiled Chelski's season in the CL by beating them twice in the q-final. and mourinho's fury was target towards Benitez's Red Army. all i wanna say is, it's not that the other managers can't get along well. the fact is, mourinho was pushing everyone's button - and still is (even Abramovich can't stand him!). |
