What was your first thought when you heard that Sven Goran Eriksson had taken over as manager at Man City? |
Mine was Faria Alam!!! Thank you GOOD ON THEM was my first thought! I think a lot of critism aimed at Ericsson has been unreasonable! Fair enough he didn't win anything with England but if you look at his record at club level...it's impressive - ONLY MANAGER TO WIN THE DOUBLE IN 3 DIFFERENT COUNTRIES - how many managers can say that? The only manager England should have got was Marcelo Lippi! But then again...did he really do that bad for England? He got us to 3 major tournaments (finishing as group winners on every single ocassion)...brought the best out of Beckham...beat Germany 5-1 in thier own backyard and only lost 5 competitive matches! Maclaren dropped Beckham and look how dearly it has cost him! Ericsson wouldn't made that mistake! I think Man City have done well getting him. And here's a prediction...if Beckham don't like it in L.A. he'll come back to England under Ericsson's leadership! He really got on well with Ericsson and the Swede brought the best out of him. BUT...they shouldn't expect instant success! They should cement themselves in the top ten first for a good few seasons before they start challenging for Europe or the Prem. god luck to him "So what," I thought. Considering his performance with the England team I'm surprised he got re-employed at all. Will we see Man City go down the pan now. How can anybody be worth that much money when they are a complete flop. Here I 碌o again on my own~ urika ka ka he,ll screw u lot as well cant wait 4 the derby blue scum At Last. |
