What's the main problem with El Tri right now and what do you think about the Panama game tonight? |
Somehow I think Hugo Sanchez is a little bit right and we all just have to wait---- the players that came from Europe went straight into playing after a year without playing with their team OR it was their first time ( Nery )...about the Panama game... I was complaining about how bad it was just 1-0 .....Mexican press is still criticizing them! While for ex. the US press was celebrating their US vs Guatemala victory (1-0) as if it were a great one and Panama is way better than Guatemala (finals last time)....we need to give our boys a break and support them! In my opinion its not so much as that there is a problem with the team, its that Hugo is trying to see how new line-ups are going to work for him. The Mexico team has good players but they are not communicating well since they have all been playing different types of futbol. They weren't great tonight but at least I was able to see that they put more effort into this game. Also to comment about the criticism that is being made about the team is how it always has been. The headline the Mexico critics always write are : " Mexico had a great team but the felt short of the expectations like always." I hate this mentality because it makes the Mexican fans seem like Mexico's worst enemy. The critics are also tough on the team because futbol is Mexico's biggest sport and always set high expectations and then they bash the team when they can't make those expectations. I dislike a portion of the U.S. fans because they are mostly bandwagon fans. Most people don't even care about the team, unless they are doing good. If they start to do bad they fade and most of the fans forget all about it. Mexico just needs to figure out their line-ups and they'll start doing better. That's life in football. When you aren't playing well, you're scrutinised. When you are playing well, you'll be surrounded or mobbed. Mexico is now in scrutiny for its dismal performances against Honduras (L1-2) and Cuba (W1-0). The way the Mexicans are srutinised, it reminds me of how the Brazilians got theirs in 2006 after that infamous 1-0 defeat to France. Is this the way the North/Central/South American Press remarked on their national teams? Cheers :) mexico played average today.panama played better than mexico the whole 90+ mins.there criticizing them cuz they needed to win to pass and they weren't dominating the game like they should of.panama 13 shots on goal to mexico's 4 shots on goal, i wouldnt be proud of that kind of performance. just hope they get there act together or USA will win the cup. panama played better than mexico and fortunately for them they won which most people say is the most important thing. the thing is that mexico should win but playing well that is the ideal. the mexican press expects so much from sanchez because of the way he always criticized lavolpe's team. they are putting pressure on him after all the critiques he made and now cant back up. also people expect so much from the mexican team because this is the first time the team has so many players playing in europe they believe the level of quality of playing should be higher. time will tell for sanchez team. i also think that the U.S is displaying poor quality of playing. Mexico is playing with a different starting team each game. they take out 5 leave 6 and have of the team is different. if he cahnges any one per game it should just be 2 or 3 ,or the whole team. the players being tired is just a poor excuse used many times in the history of soccer. he should feel lucky that he is not in the 40's where mexico had to be shiped off for 3 months now that can make you tired. but also another flaw is that he is also putting to many second rank forwards. i mean he puts in borgetti the only thing he can do is head the ball into the goal but he cant dribble the ball for nothing. i think landin should be there instead of him. And what about the sub 17 champions non of them are there. but partial thing's you said is true i mean salcido one of the best deffeners where plaiying like crap. he was too lazy and when in psv he bassicly stared every play toward s being a goal. So theres partial reason in you. Who told you the US press was celebrating the (1-0) win over Guatemala. I guess it depends where you are getting your news from. Believe me, everyone knows the USA is playing wonderfully and El tri is not in rhythm (no matter what there reason is). The game is changing, little countries like Honduras and Panama are getting stronger and can now play with Mexico. You are right in one though. I think people should give Hugo a chance and see how he does in the Copa America. Good luck though Me |
