Are Americans excited because USA won Mexico in a soccer game? |
I mean.... Culturally " Soccer " represents Latin-American values, traditions and some times religion... Are you proud that USA soccer team beat Mexico's team in Copa de oro? Will the USA be better than Brasil " The King " one day???? How important is soccer in the world and in USA? Let's just say that on CNN.com, they don't even get a link to a story about their victorious win, and on SI.com there is only a 8 word title link to a story, mixed in between regular NCAA, Track & Field, and MLB news. On Univision.Com's title page there is a picture of Landon Donavon with the headline reading: Champions! [in Spanish]. Interprete that as you may. What do you think the Europeans play volley ball. soccer is huge in the world it has more followers than any religion I love soccer and i have nothing to do with Latin America The victory means alot for me and for the players because they got international exposure and when European teams scout players they will get better and make their national team better. So yes it is possible for the U.S. to be as good as Brazil one day but Brazil will win the coppa America this year i am very happy to hear it but not suprised us is a powerhouse just the coaching sucks every country knows that us is filled with talent just no team play sorry, I didn't even know they were playing. |
