Why did the US accepted CONMEBOL's invitation to play Copa America if they didn't want to? I agree with the person above me. Since the better players of the team wanted to rest or go back to MLS, Bradley had only one option which is using their younger inexperienced players. So it was a good opportunity to test and see if they can play well and be better than the actual team. Unfortunately, it didn't work. But at least Bradley knows this and won't use many of them together again [and stick with the basic players]. Maybe they were just being polite and are planning to leave early, if it won't make a scene. Miss Manners Good question---I wish I knew the answer. I think Coach Bob Bradley wanted to go to try out his young players. The "senior" squad just won the copa america, which qualifies them for the confederations cup (important world cup warm up). I think It was a good Idea that he took a younger squad so he can explore and hopefully find and player that can break-out..........but unfortunately, they got spanked at the Copa America! Fielhaber and Bornstien were the only good players, but they were not experimented players, they played at the Gold Cup. They took it for granted. They accepted, then they sent the suckiest team they ever had. They basically told CONMEBOL, "We don't give a $hit about your tournement." Costa Rica would've used it better than that. |
