Why is Mexico playing a 2nd place team and Brazil a 3rd place team even though Mexico won the group? |
Copa America I know, that makes no sense. They should make it so that the top two 1st place teams (in this case, Argentina and Mexico) play the best 3rd and 2nd best 3rd. Then the other 1st place team (Venezuela) plays the lowest 2nd place team (Peru). Then the two remaining 2nd places play each other, Brazil and Paraguay in this case. I guess it doesn't matter now, Mexico just has to play, no excuses. BECAUSE CONMEBOL IS STUPID. ANOTHER QUESTION: WHY THERE IS NO EXTRA TIME AFTER 90 MINUTES IN CASE OF DRAW? (At least in the last Copa Americas there was no extra times). Because they don't want Brazil and Argentina to play before the final. Rules of the tournament. The conspiracy theorists would say that tournament is designed to have Brazil and Argentina in the final and for Venezuela to make it at least to quarters (so far these scenarios are working).... guess they just trying to eliminate mexico so we won't take their cup but it ain't going to work i have no idea what the shitty officials of copa america have done withe this. obviously it was designed to benefit venezuela (host country). however, no one would have guessed that mexico would win the group and that brazil was going to end up second... so it's nothing against mexico. perhaps brazil was suppose to win the group, then face argentina in quarters or semis and the other side of the bracket was suppose to be for mexico. oh hugo, you should have tried harder to lose the game against chile... this is how much of a **** team chile is, they couldn't win against a mexican team that wanted to lose. |
