Have 1996 suzuki motorcycle cuts off every time i stop shop says carbs need cleaning $430 am i being ripd off? |
1996 suzuki katana 750 motorcycle every time i stop tach drops to 0 rpms and engine cuts off shop said it would cost me $430.00 dollars to clean carburators ifeel like i'm being ripped off am i also if some one knows where i could have done in wash dc area cheaper would appreciate. racing questions? Get a shop manual and try it if you're a halfway decent mechanic. I've never tackled a carb myself. yes thats a rip off i just did mine for right at 100. are you saying that the bike starts and runs fine down the street.......but when you stop it dies.........that does not sound like carbs to me.....if it was carbs it would not get ya going down the street in the first place.......but if it has multi-carbs....that is a fair price including parts.....all new parts and syncronizing the carbs.....then tuning them on the motorcycle to the motorcycle........... |
