Where can I find parts for a 1979 Honda XR 185? |
It used to be my dad's and it was in my granny's garage for about 15 or 18 yrs. He and I want to rebuild it. Please help!!! racing question? look in the car books EBAY Honda discontinued parts that are older than 20 years. your best bet is to look on e-bay or find a dealer that specialises in vintage parts. Some vintage magazines also provide answers. Vintage MX is a good one. ur bikes not that old really and not that rare either so i would first put ur details onto a bike breakers site first then obviously a respectable honda main dealer would b next on list..cosmetics i would try to get from a breakers if possible as for alot of engine parts the main problem those engines had was the cams ran directly in the head causing alot of wear over time pretty much bullet proof apart from that if i remember correctly happy hunting...and btw wish i still had my honda 76 cr125 elsinore my 78 cr250 red rocket and my 83 cr480 best fun ive ever had and so much easier to rebuild than a four stroke lol why bother? what a piece of crap not worth it |
