I am going to buy a Yamaha 07 R1,,is that a good buy? Yeah i have one Traded in my 06 R1 there is a massive diffrence such a sweet ride Around the track is just a bit Quicker than the K7, lol at the guys saying its an ok bike and the Gixxer is better, the gixxer is a great bike, theres no way any one of us here can ride them to there true potential anyway, unless your a pro Racer! The 07 R1 won the Jap section of MASTERBIKE by a massive margin, the K7 gixxer was 3Rd!!!!!!!! and this was voted by 18 or 19 riders from various orgs with no intrests with a singular manufacturer. oh yes... yes yes yes ! Nice bike but most people tend to go for the gsxr 1000 Suzuki as it seems to be the quickest bike around in the reasonable superbike price bracket sure you could buy a Ducati but that is in another price range ! Yes its a good buy but I personally would go for the gixser or even a Blade but if you like the R1 get it but try the gixser first ! one of my better off friends has a track day R1 & a gixser for the road and he loves the gixser to bits and he do,s a lot of long distance riding as he uses the gixser for travelling across europe and has never had one little problem with it ! Ok ish buy. Gixer 1000 is a better bike. The Ducati 1098 is amazing. For amazing value take a look at 998/996 or even a 955 if you can find one. Just a note: Whats this got to do with racing? If i were you i would price insurance first you may be VERY surprised if your a noob and young and how is this a racing question? Own a 06 R1, and it is amazing. Best of the big four liter bikes, if you ask me. The 07' is even better, good changes. It is hands down, the best bike out of the big four. It is unbelievable with power, and handles really good for a liter. I would consider the ZX-10, also a good bike last two years. Gixer's are bulletproof, can't go wrong there. |
