Why do motorcycle racers still use pit boards? Why don't they use helmet radios like F1 and NASCAR racers?

They are allowed to have "rider to Pit" comms and it was used, [for one race by Team KR].

The systems are just to heavy to be good enough to keep.

Most [ read all MOTOGP teams] have a second much smaller mid track pit board as well.

Because race's are run true ( flag to flag, no silly pit stops or tyre changes) the riders know where they are in the race. Some 24hr indurance teams have used them in recent years but again ditched them in favor of the good old pit board.
The weight issue - in something as lightweight as a GP bike the extra few pounds of the com system is a significantly larger percentage of the overall weight than in a nascar, which like most American vehicles is a lardy unresponsive heap of junk.
wishing the speed channel was sponsored by moto gp (racing), not nascar (watching paint dry)
