What brand of dirt bike would you suggest? |
I like honda but i dont know enough to decide Honda CRF. Bullet proof bike. Fast too! Take it easy to start with, they have some real low down kick out slow bends. They wheel spin like crazy. Smooth power means you wheelie them untill sunday though!!Bolivia The honda's tend to be durable, ridable and fast. But please buy less bike than you think that you can handle. If you buy a 250 as your first bike you will kill yourself. Start out with a 100 or 125 and tthen rade out after a few years of experience Also if you need to repair them the honda's are pretty easy. If you are going to go with the 125's then i would settle for a suzuki or a honda. For the 250 class i would go with suzuki or a yamaha. If you want 400-450 then i would go with yamaha, they seem to have been leading in that class for the past couple of years. They all do pretty good, most dirt bikes are reliable. There is KTM they are always good, american made. Tough question to answer as there are so many dirt bikes and they have different qualities. You don't say new or used, 2 or 4 stroke, MX or trail riding... Of the used and especially older 2 stroke bikes take your pick they are all pretty much the same. The newer 2 strokes, really only 2 companies have advanced their technology, Yamaha and KTM. Suzuki and Honda have been selling the same old/new bike for 3 years, Kawasaki quit making them and Honda will stop in 2008, don't get stuck with a new bike that is already obsolete. That only leaves Yamaha and KTM.... If you like the 4 strokes then the field is wide open. If you race moto you can pick any one of the Japanese Alphabit racers if you have a bit more cash then you might check out the KTM an Austrian brand, they are made in Europe and I think that they are the best but they also cost more. If you ride offroad then KTM clearly makes the best bike. The KTM 450XC and EXC have won every magazine offroad test for over 3 years. In 2008 KTM will make a light weight 300cc 2 stroke E-start bike, totally off the hook 2. Yamaha makes the worst stock offroad bike . The new 250/450 WR need to be modified before you ride it. The Honda CRF250x and 450x is a little better but they are much heavier. Suzuki supposed to come out with a new modely and Kawasaki just debuted their 450 KLR to early to tell if it is any good tho. I don't know if this clears it up for you or makes you more confused but... Good Luck ];-) . hondas and yamaha are probably your best bet hondas are really durable and go for ever... i have a 99 honda 200r and everything on its stock those bikes will last for ever and the yamaha bikes are nice its the most bike of anybrand i have had i trust them a lot and thier all fast... just a prefrence of wat size and how big you are |
