Can a cop write a ticket for not wearing eye protection on a motorcycle?!?

This doesnt make sense to me. What do they care if your wearing eye protection or not?

Yes, depending on your local laws. Some states, such as California, Florida and Arizona, require eye protection regardless of helmet laws. Not knowing where you are; if you got a ticket then I would have to say that yes, you can get a ticket for not wearing eye protection.

Always check your local laws (usually found on the DMV/MVD site of where you live) if in doubt. Source(s): Reserve Police Officer, former Deputy Sheriff
