What is the easiest wat to clean a dirtbike? |
i have a new cr 250. i have had it for about 3 weeks and i have washed it a couple of times but it seems like im never going to get it clean again as it once was. Any tips? there is no easy way I'm afraid. Best tip is to wash it with a pressure washer as soon as you get back from riding to get the worst of the mud and dirt off. Even if that's all you do and come back and clean it more the next day or so. If you give the mud and dirt time to dry and bake on, it seems to be harder and harder each time to get it back to clean. I'd just worry about rinsing it off most times, and give it a really thorough clean once a month or so. I have all sorts of different brushes and tools to clean in all the hard to reach spots, it's hard work but it does do the trick. We have them, hose them, and off we go. There are many products on the market to clean vehicles but I guess I have to wonder what is purpose of getting a dirt bike if you want to keep it clean? Pandora My mis-guided {fun} youth A pressure washer will do a good job with most of the bike. Like most people said, it is a dirtbike so you don't necessarily need to have it polished and shiny. One thing you might want to keep clean is your chain to extend it's life. Moose Racing makes a chain scrubber that works pretty well for getting the dirt off. Then you can use an o-ring safe spray cleaner and rag to get off the old oil then once it dries you can lube it up again so you're ready to ride. |
