Why is it that Super cars like ferrari,Lamborghini, Fonda etc. can go faster than NASCAR? |
I was watching a Lamborghini do 215 mph but on NASCAR they can only do like 150-190mph AND you can't drive Nascar on the streets but you can a Lamborghini NASCAR are stock cars. They are purposefully limited to under 200 for the sport of driving. F1 cars are the same way, except faster. The reason that NASCARs aren't street legal is because they don't have blinkers and proper safety equipment. A Ferrari/Lamborghini has blinkers and so forth. NASCAR cars are capable of going 230+, but they put restrictor plates on them to slow them down for the safety of the drivers and fans. In 2004 Rusty Wallace ran a NASCAR car at Talladega without a restrictor plate and reached speeds of 228 (some reports say speeds of 235) on the straight stretch... because they are different class man criky im a woman (well fairy) and even i know that nascar are stock cars farris etc are super cars Super cars and Nascars are very different. First of all super cars accelerate very quickly, and it takes a Nascar a few laps to get up to speed (depending on the size of the track of course). Nascars were made for speed and safety, super cars were made for much more than that. Nascar cars have enough power to reach over 230mph. They do reach 200 on some tracks. Nascar requires restrictor plates (That would make a super car barely reach 150) on some long tracks to prevent speeds over 200. At speeds over 200 stock cars can become airborne during wrecks and fly into the crowd. A super car could not compete with Nascar cars, they would be left in the tire dust. If you didn't have a restrictor plate on the stock cars, they would go that fast. But to protect the NASCAR drivers from serious injuries or death, they use restrictor plates to keep the speeds under 200mph. It's not that the stock cars can't go that fast, it's just that NA SCAR prevents them from going that fast for safety precautions. I'd like to see how fast that Lamborghini gets around the track at Daytona. And... FYI... stock cars have run laps in excess of 230 at Talledega before the started using restrictor plates to slow them down. |
