Who would have thought Jamie McMurray would win the Pepsi Daytona 400 ? |
Will he make the Chase ? I hope so . so close now ... I actually had picked McMurray as a top 5 contender. He has a really good history at restricter plate tracks. Go Jamie Go. I never would of picked him, but glad to see him win. Don't think he'll make the chase though. He wouldn't have been my first pick to win the race. However, I am very happy that he won. It had been to long for him. He's always run solid races, but he's run into some bad luck as well. I know he is so close to the chase right now, I really hope he makes the cut. I would love to see him in the chase. Congrats to McMurray! It was definitely a wild race and a great one. Anyone could've won it there at the end be it Jeff Gordon, Johnson, Busch, McMurray, Edwards. It was great to see such exciting and clean racing. Everyone presented themselves as a class act last night (except Tony Stewart on AND off the track). I've never been a Jamie McMurray fan but he earned that win last night after that penalty. He drove his butt off! I never would had guessed. I was more convinced on Clint Bowyer winning it, but that didn't happen. And then David Gilliland was running 3rd there for a short time, and I was like thinking could he win it. And then Jamie showed up from no where and won. I was happy he won though, I like Jamie. PS - I know who you are. Who would had thought you would come back here as a BUG EYED TROLL? People this is just another account for rainbow warrior dale jr. He'll be on here under that account answering this and the other questions asked, and then turn around and give himself best answer so he can work on getting to Level 2 again. I never thought McMurray had a chance. I even went so far to state in an earlier answer on Yahoo Answers that McMurray probably wouldn't have a finish better than 19th and that even if Jr. had DNF that McMurray wouldn't gain much ground. HAHA Don't I look like the idiot now! You never what is going to happen in a race. The only real for sure thing is that Gordon will make the chase since his lead on the 13th place driver is 782 points.... with only 8 races left it would be hard to believe that Gordon would lose almost 100 points each week. Which leads to say Gordon should focus on nothing but winning and take all the chances he needs to gain another 10 points in the chase. Anything less than 1st doesn't do anything for him when it comes to the start of the final 10 races. |
