Nascar becoming WWE??? I couldn't agree more. And you're right... it's happened since Nextel took over as sponsor and Brian France negotiated the huge TV deal. Tony Stewart said the same thing you did. (France fined him under article 12-4-A for saying it but used the "missed post-race interviews" excuse for doing it). If you happen to be old enough to remember, back in the early 1960's, Indy cars were governed by USAC. USAC was about as out of control then as NASCAR is now. Well, the owners got fed up, dumped USAC and formed CART which later evolved into the IRL. I think it's about time stock car owners did the same thing. Either that or just boycott a few races to get Brian France to come to his senses. (If indeed he has any sense...I haven't seen any so far). NASCAR tells us they're trying to make the sport better for the fans. I find that an insult to my intelligence. It's pretty obvious that the only thing they're trying to improve is their level of megalomania and their bank account. It's sad that Brian France is nowhere near like his dad was. Bill Jr was about stock car racing. Brian is about power and revenue. We fans pay the price. lmao i said the same thing to a guy i work with Lets run it down.How many Nascar drivers have killed their whole family???????? Zero? theres your answer. No! Nascar is getting to be boring because their are few wrecks and they are going to use that stupid COT car all next season! Nascar is a different and young sport than any other like NLF, MLB, F1, INDY, NBA! It is only been around for 60 years now! But its not becoming WWE because wresling is the fakest bull **** in the world! NASCAR IS A SPORT NOT ENTERTAINTMENT!!!! IT THE TRUTH AND THE TRUTH HURTS! SCREW WRESLING! Im starting to think so. I love how some of these comments about wrestling are as ignorant as these same people accuse non NASCAR fans of being when they generalize. NASCAR's gotten better about the phantom debris cautions lately, which helps me believe that they are becoming less like WWE. They do milk controversy for all it's worth when it comes to getting press attention. There's a reason a big deal is made when car doesn't pass inspection, it gets the media talking. |
