Olympic runner who injured his leg and his dad came out of the stands to help him finish the race maybe in '88
I believe that he was a British athelete, and as he was entering the turn in his race, he pulled up due to an injury, maybe a pulled muscle or hamstring. His dad came out of the stands, forced his way through security and got on the track and helped his son finish the race. Very touching and a great example.
Note: A very easy Google: "British 400m Olympics father" Source(s): http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/espn25/st...
interesting... i guess.
