ARL kangaroos team: Cooper Cronk or Johnathon Thurston? |
People say cronk but in the few rounds that Thurston played he was devastating to the opposition. Thurston should get the nod as he has been the more consistent player through the season.Peopl are looking at cronk thru rose coloured glasses because his side made the grand final.Thurston is a proven big match player,ex state of origin, and he knows lockyers style of play and he[lockyer] will be the five eight and captain. I am an outsider when it comes to Rugby but I love it. Cooper Cronk is the greatest name ever in contact sports. You couldn,t make one up better than that. Maybe "Bronco Nagurski" but that's all. Cooper Cronk he has been devastating all year that's why the Storm are in the final If cronk plays a big part in melbourne's win in the g/ final he can pack his bags. Thurston hasn't played for a month now and Cronk is match fit. Cowboys were two steps behind Thurston and that was the team he played with. Cooper Cronk is really going to have to turn it on this weekend, if he does well and gets in, I would still really like to see Thurston come off the bench in a Kangaroo jersey..his versatility is just too valuable to leave in Townsville!!! JB1 seems to think that the only combination is the Half Back / Five Eighth combination. Consider the Half Back / Hooker combination which has been the seat of much of Melbourne success this year. Consider that Cameron Smith is a certain for the Hooker position. I would suggest that Cooper Cronk will get the nod to allow the dynamic combination of Cameron Smith and Cooper Cronk to dominate in the Tri Nations. |
