In rugby league. Is it a try if the arm carrying the ball makes contact with the ground but the ball doesnt?

so you dive over and only your arm hits the turf is your arm an extension of the ball or doesthe ball have to touch the ground ?????

It would be no try as the ball must touch the ground with downward pressure.
the ball has to touch the ground with u holding it but that would be mad
no the ball must touch the ground
Yeah yeah the ball must touch the ground but you must have your HANDS on the ball when it makes contact with the ground not just any part of your body! One Hand or two as long as you got pressure!
Any part of the ball must touch any part of the tryline to be a try. (Obviously if you scored over the tryline we wouldn't be asking this question). If only your arm touches the tryline, then the ball is grounded short of the line, and it is a standard tackle.

Cheers

No. The ball has to touch the ground.
In rugby league the ball has to touch the ground to try but if you drop the ball it is a knock on.
