Is it okay to run only wearing socks on a treadmill?
Sometimes I run without my running sneakers on the treadmill. Is this okay? Or does it make it easier / harder to run?
Its not ideal but not too bad, with a treadmill the surface itself provides cushioning, which a road etc. doesn't; so you don't require cushioning like you would while running normally.
preferably u should run with running shoes.....
but once in a while, it is ok to run in socks!!!! but i prefer my sneakers!!!!!
my mom likes to run without shoes...... so it is no problem to her!!!
Heavens, NO!! Don't destroy your feet like that! It might lead to complications later in life. Always run with comfortable, well-cushioned shoes.
running shoes offer you support and cushioning that socks will not, your feet will eventually begin to hurt, causing it hard to run at all.
I did that once when I only brought one running shoe to the gym. It hurt my feet BAD. You mrust have tough feet.
Your socks will tend to move a little on the treadmill and over time you may develop calluses that could bother you. Wearing shoes adds to the workout by giving your legs a little more strength due to their added weight.
Try in your bare feet. Running without shoes teaches better running form. It should be smaller steps and a fast turnover using the balls of your feet and less of the heel.
