Have you got any gd tips to improve at snooker? |
im 14 and i need some tips to get good a snooker It always amuses me how people make general statements like "just practice", "practice a lot", "play a lot", etc. I know they mean well. Still, almost nobody ever gives any solid advice about "how" or "what" to practice. You might pick up a thing or two by just playing a lot, but that's extremely inefficient and most likely you're just going to be reinforcing bad habits. Playing against "better" players is fine and good to work on your competitive edge, but learning from them can be a double-edged sword. You might pick up some good tips from a skilled player, but you're taking a chance that they are just showing you what works for them. It may not work for you. Being a good player and being a good teacher don't always go hand in hand. You should look into getting lessons from a qualified instructor. A good instructor will work with you and your natural abilities, without ego factoring into it. To supplement instruction, there are many good books on the subject. Now, armed with proper knowledge, feel free to practice as much as you can. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee. practice makes perfect but nobody is perfect Practice.
