Whats the heavy-est pool table you could buy? as far as a new table, the brunswick manhatten or the mission. the manhatten is mostly metal. the mission is made with mission oak VERY heavy. I just got in and sent out a 9' presidential made out of teak. it took 2 of us to DRAG just the baseframe across the warehouse floor. olhausen has a few heavy ones like the st.leone or roccoco. rennasance,by amf, has some table, like the gobliens, that they put 2 4x6 beams in it that do nothing but add weigth. each of these ,however, at the 8' size weigh < 1000lbs. the manhatten is 985. dude is right though, the antiques are by far the heaviest. some of the real old ones, say 1850 thru 1890 had 2 1/2" thick slate. try takin that s**t up some stairs Source(s): installer n warehouse mgr 7 yrs. An antique Brunswick or a modern Brunswick European would weigh well over 1/2 a ton You did say pool not snooker you need a bulldozer to move some of those I dont know the exact model but those would be my guess i think slate tops are about the heaviest tables around |
