What is the name of this Billard game? |
You have a table with no holes. You have 3 balls, one White and the other 2 (don't know the color) have a dot on them. and how do you play it. Please, I'm supposed to play tonight, and I don't even know how. I can play 8-ball and stuff like that though, but I never heard of the other one. Thank you in advance. There are many different ways to play it. The typical is called Carambole (at least around here in Buenos Aires) where you hit the white ball and have to hit the other two with it. To make it more complex, sometimes a hit to the side is required. Or two, or three. Its called Billiards It sounds like 3-cushion billiards. It falls under the heading of "carom" games. Don't feel bad about asking some people for the rules when you go out tonight. It's a little short notice to get into any detail here. Trust me, in America, far more people are familiar with pocket billiards (pool) than carom games like 3-cushion. Most good sized pool halls will have at least one carom table. You'll be alright. Let us know how you did. M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee. Billiards: The Official Rules & Records Book |
