Whats the best game to play with 3 players? Surfer Dude is describing what most people know as Cutthroat...The person who breaks has 1-5, the next person to shoot has 6-10, and the last person has 11-15. You try to hit the other people's balls in, and the last person with balls on the table wins. If you scratch, you spot one each of your opponents' balls (in numerical order, the first on the spot, the second behind it, closer to the foot rail). After a scratch, the cue ball is placed behind the head string. If you want/need to, you can knock your own balls in to stay at the table (of course, if you knock your last ball in, you're out). I think that pretty much covers it. But when I'm practicing with two other people, I'm normally just playing king of the hill nine ball...Two people play, the third person gets winner, and it just keeps going until it's time to leave. 10-ball ring game is good, too.
