Is a room that is 10' x 11' too small to make into a rec room with a pool table?

Is it possible to put an 8' pool table into a room that's 10 x 11' and still have room to make shots and have a few people stand around with a decent amount of room?

i don't think so.

I think it is.... WAY too small. Only 1 foot to spare on each end, no room for stick.

WAY too small. Sorry.
bout half
if you're gonna have an 8x4 pool table, you'll need a room approximately the size of 14'x18'..giving an additional 5+ feet per side of the table, for comfort & space to stroke the cue and move around...so, i really don't think a 10x11 room will be wise...you won't even be able to make a decent shot without hitting the wall :(
I agree - it's way too small. I've seen some basement layouts that had one object - a post - that was too close to the table. The owner provided a very short stick to use if faced with a shot that required it. Not the best thing in the world, but most players could play a fairly normal game, since the little stick wasn't needed very often.

I couldn't imagine making several shots with an obstruction, though. The game would be a joke.
