So you're stranded on a desert island...? |
and you happen to be stranded with a professional pool player, the very one, in fact, that you'd most like to be stranded with. He or she perhaps has already died, so that's kind of strange, but you roll with it. Now, there's no pool table on this island, so the only thing said pro is good for is conversation. Who is this player and why is he or she the one you want to be stranded with? Since you are giving me only three days, I gotta go with Minnesota Fats. But I get a tape recorder with all the tapes I can carry... deal! I probably won't get in two words in those three days but at least I figure Fats will supply me with enough funny lines, both monologue and duologue, truth's and half-truths, situations and down-right lies, quote chapter and verse on con jobs, pigeons, setups, and any other rewarding material needed for a best seller that would be my next book. Just like picking Ginger there, Gilligan, good buddy ! i wouldn't mind it being Vivian Villarreal..i met her while i had the tournament in Vegas(among others)...and she had the fairest personality and was the easiest to talk to..(other than Mike Massey)..i'd take as much info from her as i could about the game..including a signed letter from her stating that should the event she passes, i get to keep everything she owns, including her home :)...wishful thinking, hu? :P |
