People who have been to Perisher Blue Australian Ski Resort? Question about 2007 ski season? |
Hi Guys I'm going to perisher blue for a week of skiing, from the 1st-7th of July. I've been looking at the snow cams/lift reports etc on the website, and so far only Front Valley is open for use. I'm just looking for any insight/comments on the liklihood of other slopes being opened before the 1st of July, from anyone who knows anything about snow conditions, or has had some experience with perisher. Thanks a lot! PB opens what they can. You still have two weeks. There is a dump happening As I Type, that will open more terrain and it is likely that there is more to come. I believe that Blue Cow will open this weekend. Even if it is only on snowmaking areas, that gives you Zalis and the main run off Ridge Chair. The week you have chosen is in school holidays, and the resort will bend over backwards to get as much as possible open before then. I have been down there at that time and had the whole resort open (but the same week last year was seriously, seriously crap). Source(s): Long time PB skier who has skied that week in the past because of school holidays. no no They have snow making going, they are just waiting till closer till the school holidays to do a grand opening. So far it is no different from last year, pretty dodgy year, there was only man-made snow but we managed to get around fine. Looking at the pictures, they are ready to open Blue Cow, just not enough people. There was talk that there was meant to be a big dump this weekend. So we can only hope. They do have a few boxes and things going so it cant be to bad. Worst come the worst, go down, muck around on what is open and enjoy the grub. 15years of skiing Perisher Blue |
