How to fix skis?

I got several deep scratches in my skis....i have used petex several times but it keeps comming out...is there any other types of materials that i can order to help my problem? The scratches are more of gouges they go past the base and into the white core....any suggestions???

Petex will not stick to core material. See the steps below to fix you scratches.

Step 1.) Clean the areas thoroughly with wax remover, gauge out all remaining petex. Ensure there is no dirt or other material in the gauge.

Step 2.) Apply a thin layer of glue with a hot glue gun to the base material. Ensure there is no base material exposed. Allow glue to cool/dry

Step 3.) Rough up the glue lightly with some sand paper. Apply your petex using your preferred method (ie. Drip, iron or gun) Allow petex to cool.

Step 4.) Scrape flush, wax and ride like hell!

I hope this helps Source(s): 3 years as a Ski/Snowboard Technician.
