I wonder to play snowboarding in the olympic snowsports, but if i want to , i should play it early?
im 16 years old,and i want to start to learn snowboarding, but im worried a little bit...i was told that i should have learn that sport from early...but i still dont believe,so whats the truth,i mean i still can learn it even if i will learn it when i be 18 years old and by practicing and working hard i can play it in the olympics (i wish i can get gold medal ;) )??
(sorry if my english a little bit bad) :D
Well, you should learn sooner, rather then later. But, i guess it's never too late. www.windells.com can really help you learn.
Really good snowboarding camp.
I Say go for snowboarding. It's fun and if you have a talent for it, in a few years you could possibly go pro or be in the Olympics. I wouldn't count on participating in the Olympics when 18 though. maybe 20 if you start this very next season and REALLY have talent at it. I'm also going to tell you, as I do everyone who asks a question about going pro or getting into the Olympics, not to snowboard just so you can be an Olympian or go pro. Snowboard because you like to snowboard. If you love to snowboard, then go and try to get sponsored and stuff, but don't count on becoming an Olympian if you haven't even tried it and if you're not yet sure it's something you love to do. I've been snowboarding 3 seasons and am pretty good- I can do 360s and have come close to 540s a couple of times, and yet, I haven't entered one competition yet. Next season will be my first competing. Just remember to snowboard to have fun, and not to get a job.
3 years snowboarding
buy a helmet and go fast...next stop...medal stand
Get a helmet, take some lessons, then decided, it is a lot harder then it looks. So set reasonable standards, don't get your hope you, at least try it first. It takes more then once to get the hang of it.
