In surfing what are FCS plugs? FCS stand for Fin Control System. FCS plugs part of this system which is in the surf board and use these type of fins. The plug are used to mount the fins to the board. The plugs are small "cups" that are mounted in the board that "plugs" on the fin slide into. The fins are then held in place by a set screw. This system allows you to remove your fins for travel or to change them for different conditions.
